Milta
Bodrum Marina is located right in the heart of Bodrum with immediate access
to all the attractions this famous Aegean town has to offer. The Mausoleum,
one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and a beautiful intact
medieval castle, which houses an underwater museum, are just some of the
historic splendours on offer a short way from your boat.
The marina has space for 450 vessels which all offer water, electricity, phone and television connections. Office services, including postal and the internet, are available at the reception although the marina has Wi-Fi so you can surf the net from the comfort of your boat. Well maintained toilet and shower facilities are available on-site, while laundry and dry cleaning can be collected and delivered from the berth.
Excellent maintenance facilities are on offer with general technical services including sewage collection, bilge and waste oil collection and common maintenance services. At the harbour service station you can improve or make corrections to your vessel, such as sail or awning repairs, painting and osmosis treatment, carpentry, electrics or engine maintenance.
Less technical services are also available, such as diver inspection and deck cleaning. What's more, Tekno Ege, which has sold yachting equipment and accessories in Bodrum for the last ten years, has a third sales office in the Marina so everything you need is on hand. The marina lift carries weights of up to 70 tonnes. Fuel is available at the site, which also offers 24 hour security, seven days a week.
Milta
Bodrum boasts a grand shopping centre which offers an array of different
boutiques. Designer brands available include Diesel, GANT, Polo Sport, Tommy
Hilfiger and Paul & Shark, although you'll also find many independent shops
with local gifts and beautiful jewellery shops. A supermarket provides you
with all your alimentary needs if you want to self-cater, or otherwise there
are some great eateries. The Creperie, which offers much more than just
pancakes, is located within the shopping precinct and provides breakfasts,
lunch, evening meals and a bar service all year round. During the summer
season drinks and meals can be delivered to yachts or if you need somewhere
to cool down, you can sit in the air-conditioned dining room. On cooler
nights, guests can enjoy views of the castle from the garden terrace and
enjoy the live musical entertainment.
But the highlight of Milta Bodrum has to be its marina yacht club and sailing club. Located near to the marina entrance, the yacht club has three restaurants and four bars which can cater for up to 700 visitors, and is sure to provide a good night for any sailor. Nearby is the Bodrum Offshore Sailing club (BAYK), which was founded in 2001 and aims to encourage beginners from all ages to take up the sport. The club organises Bodrum Race Week which is sponsored by Milta Bodrum Marina. This had 25 boats competing in 2004 and continues to grow. The club's enthusiasm means even beginners will get to know the ropes.
